[edit] Edit summaries
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. Extraordinary Machine 00:25, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Please cite
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Ashley Tisdale, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Yamla 15:47, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] October 2007
Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Vanessa Anne Hudgens. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as the text has been restored from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Ashley Tisdale. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --Yamla 15:20, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
This is your last warning.
The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Ashley Tisdale, you will be blocked from editing. --Yamla 21:40, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
You have been blocked for a short time to give you a chance to read and understand WP:V, WP:RS, and WP:CITE. Thanks. --Yamla 21:47, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, one or more of the external links you added to the page Headstrong (album) do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Yamla 18:11, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] I'm going to try to explain
I'm hoping that you want to be a good editor, and aren't changing numbers for fun. If you really have a source for those larger numbers, that's great. What you do is you change the text to match the reference, and then add the new source. You can't leave the text talking about a Brazilian newspaper, and change the numbers to match a German one. Kww 11:39, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- At least most of the changes I saw this user making were simply incorrect. For example, the numbers of views of youtube videos were higher than the numbers directly reported by Youtube. Seems to be a simple case of deliberate vandalism. --Yamla 13:48, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Please do not boldface chart positions per WP:CHARTS, WP:NPOV
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Britney Spears discography, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - eo 18:01, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] November 2007
- You might just want to get a second opinion, the clown who blocked you is well known for reckless actions in regard to his sysop status, he once banned the entire 850,000 population of Qatar.[1][2] The guy is an e-troll with an inferiority complex. - VestrialOne 19:53, 26 October 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Slick Slick (talk • contribs)
[edit] Quit inserting commercial links into Ashley Tisdale and Headstrong
Links to sales pages are not acceptable. You've reinserted them three times. Please stop.Kww 13:47, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- Again, stop that, please. There is no reason to have sales links in the article. None at all.Kww 17:53, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hoax album
So far as I can tell, the Deluxe edition of "Headstrong" is a hoax. Unless you can come up with a reference for it, please don't re-insert mention of it into the article.Kww 13:47, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Headstrong (album), you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from all of Wikipedia. NrDg 20:39, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Blocked
You have been blocked again, this time for two weeks. Please use this time to read and understand the various policies that you continue to violate. Most importantly, WP:NOT, WP:SPAM, WP:EL, WP:V, WP:CITE, and WP:RS. Thank you. --Yamla 22:43, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
