Talk:Juan Bosch

"Dominican" is confusing. When I read this, I thought it meant the President of the Dominican Republic. Is "Dominican" the proper adjective for people from Dominica? RickK 05:49, 30 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- The article now makes it very clear that Bosch was president of the Dominican Republic. According to the online CIA World Factbook, the only proper adjective in refence to BOTH countries is "Dominican". If you ask me, one or both of these countries needs to think about changing their name or something ;) --Dowcet 03:31, 28 July 2005 (UTC)
- yeah "Dominican" refers to people from the Dominican Republic. i don't know if people from the island of Dominica have a different name. J. Parker Stone 05:39, 28 July 2005 (UTC)
- Probably it'll be the "dominicans" from Dominica who will have to decide, specially because the official language in the Dominican Republic is Spanish, and there are already two different words to describe people from both countries. I think that the Dominican Order of Catholic priests will have to be taken into consideration.
