Juan Antonio Rodríguez Villamuela, Juan Rodríguez (born April 1, 1982 in Málaga), is a professional footballer who currently plays as central midfielder for Deportivo de La Coruña.
Grown through the ranks of Málaga CF, Rodríguez debuted in 2003-2004, and established himself as an undisputed starter the following two seasons.
As Málaga was relegated in 2005-2006, Rodríguez joined Deportivo La Coruña, on July 13, 2006, earning him approximately €600.000 per season, a relatively lower amount, compared to players previously operating in the same position at Depor: Lionel Scaloni, Aldo Duscher and Toro Acuña.
