Cristian Hidalgo González, aka Cristian (born September 21, 1983 in Barcelona), is a Spanish professional footballer who currently plays as an attacking midfielder for Deportivo de La Coruña.
A product of FC Barcelona's youth system, Cristián scored three goals during the season 2003-2004 and four goals in the following campaign, while performing as a striker. But Barcelona's coaches changed his roll into one of a winger, as he impressed in this position, ending 2005-2006 with eleven goals.
Cristian signed for Deportivo de La Coruña in 2006. Previously, he made one full appearance for the Catalans in a Copa del Rey match against Zamora CF.
Cristian's second league goal came on December 9, 2007, against his former employers, in a 2-1 loss at the Camp Nou.
