[edit] Howdy and welcome!
Hi, J. T. Nelson, and welcome to Wikipedia! I saw your edits popping up and wanted to make sure you knew all our relevant policies here. Here's the usual boilerplate--a few good links for newcomers:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page (below).
More specifically, you've probably noticed by now that I've removed several links to your site; while your expansions of the articles on these Russian authors are much appreciated, vanity advertisements are strongly discouraged on articles, unless they seem particularly notable.
Anyway, happy editing, and have a good time! If there's ever anything I can help with (or if you just want to say hey) feel free to swing by my talk page! All the best, Dvyost 05:25, 10 October 2005 (UTC)
- P.S. Thanks especially for the Benedikt Sarnov photo--original images are hard to come by on here. --Dvyost 05:27, 10 October 2005 (UTC)
