Benedikt Sarnov (born 1927) is a Moscow literary critic, scholar, and writer with memories of the Stalin period. His career in the Soviet period involved a struggle between what he wanted to publish, and what would pass the censors' approval. He has published over twenty books, and hundreds of articles and reviews, and continues to be active in the post-Soviet period.
