[edit] Greetings from WikiProject Medicine!
Welcome to WikiProject Medicine!
I noticed you recently added yourself to our Participants' list, and I wanted to welcome you to our project. Our goal is to facilitate collaboration on medicine-related articles, and everyone is welcome to join (regardless of medical qualifications!). Here are some suggested activities:
- Read our Manual of Style for medical articles
- Join in editing our collaboration of the week (the current one is Physiotherapy)
- Discuss with other members in the doctor's mess
- Have a look at some related WikiProjects
- Have a look at the collaboration dashboard
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask at the project talk page, or feel free to ask me on my talk page.
Again, welcome! --Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 18:21, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Against strict gun control
Hi JPINFV, Came across your page and noticed you are against strict gun control. I agree with you about the global warming thing but this gun control, why do you have that opinion? Im not going to have a war with you, just your opinion and since you stated it i guess you want people to know. Where i live in Australia you have to have a licence, dont get me wrong they are on the black market and there are shootings here but nothing compared to where you live. I mean a person can go out there, buy a gun and kill people. Its happened time and time again with the HS and college shootings, how can you claim you are against strict gun control when these things happen. Just your reason, i wont reply back just interested thats all. Roadrunnerz45 (talk) 11:46, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] "Web cite" redirect
I have nominated a redirect you created (Web cite, which redirects to Template:Cite web) for discussion at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion, as an addition to the existing discussion of the cite web redirect. Cross-namespace redirects are often discouraged and this one does not appear to be useful, and may be deleted, or redirected to another page. You are welcome to comment at the discussion page. --Snigbrook (talk) 00:33, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Easier Way to cite stuff
Follow the steps in User:Mr.Z-man/refToolbar. This will create a cite button whenever you click "edit this page". This is easier than cut and pasting template:cite web etc.--Lenticel (talk) 09:04, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] re: Subpage tagging
Not really; subpages stopped being recognised several years ago in the article namespace. There's no distinction in the software between those and any other pages, they just happen to have "/" in the name, which also occurs as a genuine part of the intended page title in many cases. It's possible to "fool" the bot into not tagging them, but they'd still show up on the uncategorised articles special page (Special:UncategorizedPages), and any similar db queries. What I'd suggest is moving them into a different namespace -- perhaps most naturally, the (article) talk NS. (You can then safely have a redirect from the mainspace title to that one.) That of any help? Alai (talk) 05:15, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] re: Paramedic article
With regards to the statement you strongly disagree with, feel free to remove it if you deem it inappropriate. Don't really think much more of a discussion is required. Kind regards.
