Joseph Philippe Karam (1923 - 1976 in Cyprus) was a Lebanese architect. In his thirty-year career, Karam was considered a leading figure of modern architecture in Lebanon. Among his projects are the City Center Mall, a landmark of the Beirut center in the 1970s, the second phase of the Phoenicia Hotel, the Aquamarina sea resort in Jounieh, and a large number of residential and commercial buildings in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.[citation needed]
Karam graduated in 1946 from the Université Saint-Joseph, Ecole Francaise d’Ingenieurs et d’Architectes, majoring in Mathematics and Architecture.
