Hi, slowly being consumed by wiki...particularly Video Game articles...
Im a student in Dublin City University studying Computer Science, found myself browsing wiki more and more so decided to put bit of effort into it. :)

 Please Note:  The 'wildcard symbol' in many computer operating systems,
               usually used to denote something like 'everything' is an
               asterisk, (usages include *.*).
                The asterisk, like all other charaters has an ANSI value.
               The decimal ANSI value for the asterisk (  *  ) or, 
               'everything'  is  42.
