He *was* the bass guitarist?

This article is turning into a disaster. Can whoever keeps editing it try to source some of what they're adding, or it gets deleted. Also, constant deletion of an image for no reason can be considered vandalism. Bretonbanquet 19:38, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Agreed. I've recently reverted this article after it became hijacked and turned into a mess--however, shortly thereafter it got reverted back. Some of the info given in there is correct, eg. that McVie worked as a tax inspector while joining FM as well as the pink Fender Bass story. I'll try to source it when I have time, but it'll also require a major re-write.Malljaja 20:03, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi :) Yes, I noticed you'd improved quite a bit of it there, but as you say, it needs a rewrite and some sourcing. I'll help keep an eye on it till you or I can work on it properly. Bretonbanquet 20:07, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Also, the editor who keeps removing the British nationality from articles on British people - you don't register, or discuss anything, hence you are a vandal, pure and simple. It doesn't matter how many times you call other people vandals and POV pushers, the rest of us can see what the situation is. Bretonbanquet 22:35, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
I've finally got around to digging out Mick Fleetwood's autobiography and to re-writing this article, based on some of the info given therein. I've tried to be as faithful as possible in transcribing the info that was contained in the most recent manifestations of this article, by comparing it to the MF bio and the recently added web-links. As there were numerous typos and other errors, I couldn't avoid doing a major re-write, however, and I'd expect that some additional work will be required to smooth it out. Malljaja 19:24, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Nice work! As you say, a re-write was unavoidable, but it looks pretty good to me. We can now just add little bits and pieces of info as we find them. :) Bretonbanquet 19:33, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

To the anonymous person who continually changes this page, why is it that you expend all your time to changing nationality, yet you do not once seem to have contributed anything valuable to this page? To me this suggests that your literacy doesn't extend beyond the word "England"--very very sad indeed!!Malljaja 17:39, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Now this unregistered, anonymous editor who never discusses anything because he can't type a word other than "England" appears to believe that Malljaja and I are in fact the same person. Nice idea, but wrong. Bretonbanquet 15:35, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Second that!! Malljaja 17:36, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Usually I would put place of birth as either England or United Kingdom and then nationality as English or British - this often stops confrontation. TomGreen 07:37, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Contradiction tag

I tagged this because I noticed there were two different dates listed for his birth. I'm not sure which is correct. Black Kat 16:44, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

The proper date is November 26, 1945 TrotterInc 00:47, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Johnchris.jpg

Image:Johnchris.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
