Talk:John Kemble (martyr)

Do I detect just a hint of POV in this? (Anon.)
- My jaw was dropping from the career title in the first word. Is the "image" just the barest bit inflated? Not all that informative as illustrations go... A bit cheeky. --Wetman 13:35, 26 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] "direct descendants"
The line 'The famous Kemble family are direct descendants of John Kemble,' is curious since he's reported as a priest who never married or had children. Direct descension implies he had children who had children, etc. If he did have children, why isn't this reported in the article? If not, the wording needs to be changed to say that he is simply related (if he is in fact related) to the family. Unfortunately the linked article on the Kemble family doesn't mention the priest John Kemble or the relation...
- My thought too... William Avery 19:18, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
As a "direct descendant" myself, I would have to agree. I always refer to him as the brother of one of my direct ancestors! John RC Downe —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.188.96.20 (talk) 12:04, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] "guilty of the treasonous crime of being a priest"
Should that be Roman Catholic priest, or is there no other sort? William Avery 19:23, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
