[edit] Is this really the Union Pacific President?
Is this guy really Durant's Union Pacific figurehead president (John A. Dix)? The biography mentions nothing about trains other than (wishful?) references. His biography would indicate he would have been otherwise occupied during the construction of the First Transcontinental Railroad. Thanks. Americasroof 01:36, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

The image Image:Dix token.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here.
