John Hardy Steele (January 4, 1789–July 4, 1865) was an American mechanic, manufacturer, and politician from Peterborough, New Hampshire. Born in 1789 in Salisbury, North Carolina, he was a prominent factory owner and cloth manufacturer, who also served as Governor of New Hampshire. He died in 1865 in Peterborough, New Hampshire.
