John Foreman (musician)

John Foreman is an Australian musician and television personality.
He wrote the Olympic Flame song, titled "The Flame", for the 2000 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony.
He has been a long-time member of Good Morning Australia until retiring from the show in 2004. Since then he has been the musical director on Australian Idol.
In December 2005 he began hosting The Big Night in With John Foreman. The premiere episode featured a classic interview with actor Russell Crowe, as well as interviews with Deborah Conway and Tina Cousins.
John Foreman has also been the conductor for Melbourne's Christmas Eve 'Carols by Candlelight', at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007, and possibly in future years.
He is currently the conductor for the band on Australian Idol, and helps the contestants to re-create the songs they sing for the contest.
