Joe Beeston (February 23, 1947 - February 25, 2008) was the CEO of Highland Spring. He took over as CEO in 1992 and kept the role up until his death.[1] He worked as a sales director until 1992 when Highland Spring's owner, Mahdi al-Tajir of Dubai, made him chief executive. During his time as CEO he took production from 70 million litres in 1992 to 226 million litres in 2007 and maximised profit from £15 million to £51 million.
In 2005 he was the first person to receive a OBE for services to the soft drinks industry by The Queen.
Beeston died of Lung Cancer on February 25, 2008.[2]
