[edit] Career
Born in Los Angeles, California, Sweetin first stepped into show business by appearing in film and television. She first appeared in an Oscar Mayer hot dog commercial when she was four years old. Her debut role was in The Hogan Family in 1987, in which she played Pamela, the niece of Mrs. Poole. She also provided the voice of Sally Brown in It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown. Jeff Franklin cast her as Stephanie Tanner in Full House in 1987, and she was on the show until its end in 1995. After the show's finale, Sweetin went to high school and college. Sweetin hosted the second season of the Fuse TV show Pants-Off Dance-Off. She is now starring in a TV pilot, titled Small Bits of Happiness, a dark comedy centered around a suicide prevention specialist.
Sweetin's famous catch phrases on Full House as Stephanie were "How rude!", "Hot dog" and "Well, pin a rose on your nose.". She has stayed in touch with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played her younger sister Michelle on the show, as well as Candace Cameron Bure (elder sister D.J.), Bob Saget (Danny), Lori Loughlin (Becky) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy). She "grew up" on Full House and filmed 8 seasons.
[edit] Personal life
She married Shaun Holguin Houston III, a Los Angeles police officer when she was 20 years old. Fellow Full House castmate Candace Cameron was in Sweetin's bridal party. The couple later divorced because of Sweetin's meth addiction.
Sweetin married Cody Herpin on July 14, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada.[1] She gave birth to a daughter, Zoie Laurelmae Herpin, on April 12, 2008 weighing 8 lbs. 7 oz and 21 inches.[2]
Jodie Sweetin and her baby Zoie, appeared on the cover of People Magazine for the June 16, 2008 issue. On the six-page spread interview, Sweetin talked about becoming a mother and making her way through the other side of her addiction to Crystal Meth.[3] The story also became the #1 most read story on People.com for the week ending on June 7, 2008.
[edit] Meth addiction
At twenty-years-old, Sweetin became addicted to methamphetamine and it wasn't until she passed out from cardiac arrhythmia, hypothermia, and irregular breathing that she got treatment. In March of 2005, she spent six weeks at the Promises rehabilitation clinic, where she broke her addiction. As a consequence of her illegal drug use, however, Sweetin's marriage to Shaun Holguin ended.
