Jože Ciuha (b.1924) is a Slovenian-born artist. He has gained international recognition, winning several important international prizes. These prizes include:

• Grand prix at the international graphic biennale at Seoul
• First prize of Mediterranean biennale in Alexandria
• prizes at Biennale in Kraków and Ljubljana
• Chevalier des art et letters, awarded by the French minister of culture
• Golden medal for artistic promotion by the president of Austria

Additionally, Ciuha's works have been displayed around the world. To date, he has had shows presented at:

• Vincent Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam
• Franc Hals Museum in Haarlem
• Museum Morsboich in Leverkusen
• Kunsthalle Nurnberg
• Tate Gallery London
• Walker Hill Art Center- Seoul
• Atteneo San Basso – Venice
• The Harbison Foundation and The Kissick Museum in Columbia, South Carolina
• Institute of Arts – Kalamazoo, Michigan

In 2004, Ciuha was made a Permanent Member of Russian Academy of Art. He currently resides in Paris.
