Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Xbox, was not constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Thanks for the advice. True, that Xbox was a bit of "vandalism" but I feel like I"m ready to be a mature Wikipedia contributer. I'm not sure I've responded to this correctly. --Horatiohornblowerer 09:05, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Normally you respond to a comment by putting a number of colons (":") in front of the new text that is one greater than the number of colons in front of comment you are responding to. This creates an indented style like you see now. Also, when adding a new section to a talk page you should use the "+" tab at the top of the page to create the new section at the bottom of the talk page. Your response on Dancter's talk page was placed at the top, which puts it out of order chronologically. You might want to take a look through the Wikipedia:Tutorial (Talk pages) and other tutorials if you want to get up to speed on how to use Wikipedia. Hope that helps!  :-) -- HiEv 09:34, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, I fixed my mistake on his talk page. I hate to be a bother but could you tell me where to find information on how to include a table of contents in articles I can't seem to find much? --Horatiohornblowerer 09:41, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Two other comments, normally you shouldn't make large changes to your past comments, like deleting chunks of them. If a comment is no longer relevant you can use the strikethrough marker like I did above, or simply add another comment. I saw the original comment and I was about to point you to Help:Section, but when I went to reply the request had mysteriously vanished and I had to figure out where it went. As you can see with my correction above, a strikethrough makes what you mean clear without any "vanishing text" confusion. See Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines#Own comments.
Second, and more importantly, your username appears to be a problem. There is already a User:Horatiohornblower, so calling yourself User:Horatiohornblowerer (with an extra "er" at the end) is a violation of Wikipedia:Username policy#Inappropriate usernames:
Usernames that closely resemble the name of another Wikipedia user and may cause confusion.
You should probably make a request at Wikipedia:Changing username to switch to a username that doesn't violate the Wikipedia:Username policy. Have fun! -- HiEv 10:53, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to University of Maryland University College. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Tiddly-Tom 20:45, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
