ANYONE WANT TO EXPLAIN WHY I KEEP SEEING THAT PIVEN IS A ROMAN CATHOLIC? IT'S BULLSHIT AND VANDALISM —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.47.24.41 (talk) 00:21, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
piven and cusack hate each other now. something should be said about that. don't just revert my edits without researching it.
Jeremy Piven may be best known as the best friend of well known actor John Cusack, but what is amazing about Piven is the fact that he seems to be unphased by the notion of being the less 'media-popular' of the two and both his film career and friendship with Cusack seem to collect strength and solidify with each new year. Getting an early start on acting with a family run theatre workshop (actually titled The Piven Theatre Workshop and owned by his parents), Piven gained an early zest for acting and has starred and co-starred in a myriad of both underground and mainstream films. He has a wide range of character acting ability, showing a concerned and low-voice softness mixed with an uncertain frantic explosiveness, accentuating the insecurity that is so obviously deep-seeded in human nature. Recently, Piven has been appearing in more central and leading roles in such films as 'Serendipity' (also starring Cusack and Kate Beckinsale) and 'Runaway Jury' (also starring Cusack, Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman) but the bulk of his work has been done as a solid mid-range actor, filling needed gaps but always true to character, in films like 'Heat' (1996), 'Rush Hour 2' (2001) and the "frat-humour-laden-cult-monsterpiece" 'Old School' (2003) as a stick-in-the mud Dean (Oddly enough, Piven played a complete polar opposite to the snooty Dean role in 'PCU' (1992) as the crazed, renegade offbeat campus leader who played, pranked and partied 24/7 - one of his most endearing roles to his true fans). What is most remarkable about Piven and Cusack's relationship is that they have starred in, and continue to star in, a number of films together and have a genuine on-screen comradery as they are often placed in roles as friends. Piven is well respected within the acting community and continues to wield his craft with two new features set for release this year in "Smokin' Aces" and "Keeping Up With The Steins".
I don't know if this is the place, but I found the comment concerning his baldness cure eurika particularly amusing. What is that doing here? Who knows. It sounds like something from Seinfeld.
