Jery Sandoval Sanabria (born December 18, 1986, in Barranquilla, Colombia) is an actress, model and singer. In Colombia, she's remembered by her role of María Reyes in Los Reyes, a Colombian version of an Argentinian telenovela called Los Roldán. At the present time, she acts on a Televisa Mexican series called Código Postal as Regina Corona and currently is having a relationship with Francisco Morales who is a prospect soccer player.

Her father, a vallenato singer and composer named Jorge Sandoval, inculcated her the love of singing and music. Actually, she sang in the tuna of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, a local school in Barranquilla and was part of the band Notas y Colores, in Barranquilla too.
Curiously, during her childhood, Jery Sandoval used to play the actors with her friends.[citation needed]

In 2000, she started her career as a model, giving her image to Hotel Barranquilla Plaza and got the 2nd place in the "Reinado de la Luz" (Miss Light) at Mesitas del Colegio (Cundinamarca) in which, as a prize, she was given COL$3,000.000 (approx. US$1,300) and there she learned to manage the public. However, she wanted higher objectives because, according to her own words, "the life as a model and beauty queen didn't like me".[citation needed]

Later, she incursioned in television working for Telebarranquilla, a local channel, in a program called Entre la rubia y la morena (Spanish: Between the blondie and the brownie) Actually, Sandoval has light brown hair and hazel-green eyes.
In 2002, she moved to Bogotá trying to realize her dream of being a singer. One day, when she was trying to make her first record, she met with the RCN TV and Jota Mario Valencia's program, Muy Buenos Días. On air, she was seen by Guilermo Restrepo, Los Reyes producer and he invited her to make a casting.

At first, she intended to obtain the role of "Hilda Reyes", but it was gained by Constanza Camelo; however, Sandoval didn't give up and got the role of "María Reyes". It was thanks to acting classes taken before at Rubén di Pietro's academy.
Los Reyes became quickly in a great and popular success of Colombian television; rising a share of 43.6% (similar to Betty la fea). However, for the actors, it meant they had to work harder and tolerate longer and exhausting filming sessions (two episodes/day). It provoked the defection of some of them, including Sandoval that, separately of filming hours, had to be studying English language at 4:00 a.m. everyday.

On the first months of 2006, she moved to Mexico and began to participate in a Televisa new series called Código Postal (Spanish: Postal Code), substitute of Rebelde. Since then, she has enjoyed a lot of fame in that country by her beauty and her professionalism by her role of Regina Corona.
