Jean Kent (born June 21, 1921) is a British film actress who performed in movies of the period 1935-76.

Jean Kent was born in London as Joan Mildred Summerfield. She started her theatrical career as a dancer in 1931. Initially she used her stage name of Jean Carr, when she appeared as a chorus girl in the Windmill Theatre in London. She signed to Gainsborough Pictures during the Second World War and the turning point in her career came when she was given a dramatic part in Fanny by Gaslight. She appeared in a large number British films during the 1940s and 1950s which included many successful British melodramatic films. The latter part of her acting career was in television.
