Jean-François Gillet (born May 31, 1979 in Liege) is a Belgian professional footballer currently playing for Italian Serie B side Bari. He plays as a goalkeeper, and is considered an expert penalty stopper.
He moved in Italy in 1999, joining Serie B side Monza, being then signed by Bari (then in Serie A) the following season. He plays for the galletti since then, excluding a one-year loan to Treviso in 2003–04.[1]
He is highly regarded at Bari as one of the team mainstays, and was often linked with several top Serie A clubs, but his love for Bari has so far prevented him from leaving the club.[2]
