J.Billups (Jamar Antoine Billups, born 16 April 1987) is a student currently attending Old Dominion University. During his time at King and Queen Central High School he became engaged in many important school functions ultimately becoming an iconic figue. From 2001-2003 he served as the 1st-Sargent of the JROTC command creating a strong discipline during his tenure. From 2004-2005 he served as President of Future Business Leaders of America and was praised for his efforts to save the schools failing FBLA division. But what he is perhaps best remembered for was for his immensely popular morning and afternoon announcement show, "The JBillups Show" which ran from September 2004-May 2005. Jamar received critical acclaim for his performance as host. His string of random jokes to his aggressive comical attitude won him praise from students as well as teachers. The Jbillups Show has left a lasting impression on the school, so much so that none of Jamar's successors have obtained the same amount of success as he did.

Jamar was born on April 16, 1987 at Williamsburg Community Hospital 3 months prematurely to Casia Billups and Raymond Jones. At birth Jamar was 4lbs, 7 ounces. For the first month after birth Jamar had to be hospitalized, and subsequently developed Asthma.
[edit] Family Relationships
Since childhood Jamar has held a strong bond with his mother Casia and his grandmother Daisy. As of 2008 Jamar has a strained relationship with his father Raymond. Jamar's father currently has five children by five different woman. Raymond has never been a stable father figure to any of his five children, including Jamar. This continues to haunt Jamar into his adult hood and has tarnished any hope for a future relationship with his father. In March of 2006 Jamar and his mother suffered a terrible loss when Jamar's grandmother Daisy died of congestive heart failure at the age of 65. While his father had not been a strong parent in Jamar's life, his grandmother helped his mother Casia raise him. After her death Jamar fell into a dark depression that lasted several months. During his grief he became increasingly reclusive shuttering himself from the public. Unfortunately for Jbill007, nobody besides himself gives a shit about his family dramas.
[edit] Battle with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Evidence suggests that since an early age, Jamar has sufferd from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. His case was considered mild during his childhood, but once he began college his OCD became dangerously worse. Today Jamar refuses to seek professional help for his OCD but realizes that at times it can be a problem. He also doesn't know how to use spellcheck.

Every since Jamar was a child he's had a profound fascination with his genealogy. This fascination was triggerd by the memorable stories his grandmother Daisy told him as a child. But it was more so her wishes to not discover the family tree that really pushed Jamar to research his heritage. In the Fall 2007, Jamar enrolled in a Historical method course and during the semester was given an assignment to discover his family's history. Jamar set out on a rigorous and obsessive task to discover his lost heritage.

In his research, Jamar traced is paternal ancestry 200 years to his great-great-great-great-great grandmother, Rebecca Davis who was a slave born in Jamestown, Virginia in 1808. It is Jamar's historical hypothesis that either one of Rebecca's parents or grandparents was indeed the "first slave in the family". In his research Jamar discovered that by 1840, 25 years before the abolishment of slavery, Rebecca was a free negro. Jamar accomplished something that many African Americans cannot accomplish and that was trace his heritage back before the American Civil War.
[edit] Caucasian Ancestry
Jamar also discovered that his maternal ancestry was built on caucasian ancestry as well as African American. Jamar has caucasian blood on three branches of his mother's family. His grandfather's grandfather on his mother's side(Jamar's great-great grandfather) was white, his grandfather's great-great grandfather on his father's side(Jamar's great-great-great-great grandfather) was white, and his grandmother's great-great grandfather on her father's side(Jamar's great-great-great-great grandfather) was also white.
Jamar's grandfather's maternal grandfather's name was Francis Bagby, and Jamar traced his family's line 880 years back to Wales.
In evaluating the other branches in Francis Bagby's ancestry, Jamar has discovered that his caucasian ancestry is made up of Scottish, Anglo-Saxon, French, Germanic, Italian, and Irish ancestry.
