Javier Baraja Vegas, known simply as Baraja (born August 24, 1980 in Valladolid, Castile and León) is a Spanish football player who currently plays for Real Valladolid of the Spanish Primera División. He usually plays as a defender. His brother Rubén is the midfielder of Valencia CF.

Baraja's first match in La Liga was on August 26, 2001 against Deportivo de La Coruña, in an away match that Valladolid lost 4 goals to 0.
