Jason Murphey is an Republican politician State Representative for House District 31 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives representing Logan and Oklahoma Counties and the towns of Edmond, Guthrie, Meridian, Mulhall, Marshall, Cashion, Orlando, and Crescent.

In 2004 Murphey ran in an open race for House District 31 and placed first in the six candidate Republican primary with 44% of the vote, with incumbent Dale Depue receiving 24% of the vote. Murphey defeated Depue in the run-off election, and was the only Oklahoma Republican candidate that year to defeat a Republican incumbent in the party primary.
