Jason Brian Carter (born September 23, 1960) is a British actor, best known for his role as Ranger Marcus Cole on the science fiction television series Babylon 5.
Born in London and raised in Gainsborough, a small market-town in Lincolnshire, Carter appeared on stage since he was a child. Advised to pursue a career in rubber technology, Carter opted instead for three years at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. In 1982, he landed his first television role on BBC2’s long-running Jackanory (1965-1996) as Hawkwing. He has appeared in numerous television series including Viper, Beverly Hills 90210, 3rd Rock from the Sun and Babylon 5.
Carter met Susie Singer, an American actress who later became his wife, while filming in South Africa. Carter is a fixture at sci-fi conventions all over the world, where he is known to command plenty of attention with his hyperactive wit. In his spare time he writes poetry.
Carter also loaned his voice briefly to the James Bond videogame GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, in the role of Bond.
Jason Carter has two sons, Ben and Gabriel, who live in England with their mother, while Jason lives with his daughter Madeline(daughter of Susie Singer Carter).
