Logo of the Japan Greens The Japan Greens (Japanese: みどりのテーブル; literally 'Green table' or 'table of the Greens') is a political organization which aims to form a Green Party in Japan. It has 592 members as of 25 August 2007. After the electoral success of Green activist Ryuhei Kawada in the 2007 House of Councillors election, the local green political network Rainbow and Greens has reportedly decided to dissolve itself and merge with the Japan Greens in December 2007. Between January 2008 and the year 2009, Japan Greens prepares to become a registered political party.
