Jan Benda (born April 28, 1972 in Reef, Belgium) is a German ice hockey player.
Born in Belgium to Czech parents, Benda briefly played in the National Hockey League for the Washington Capitals, playing nine games for the Capitals and scoring 3 assists. He currently plays in the Czech Republic for HC Litvínov and previously had spells in Germany, Finland and Russia as well as in North America. Benda has represented Germany at the World Championships, World Cup, and the Winter Olympics.
