[edit] Expanding the page

I'd like to add a bit about the "Silly Hour" which was a key part of the show in the late 80s and early 90s. The first hour - I think it was from 9-10pm - was a free-for-all, mostly occupied by quick jokes and regular callers.

I have to admit my own participation. I phoned in regularly as a train-spotter called Arfur Braincell. I first did it as a joke, as some friends at college were phoning in telling appalling jokes. Imagine my surprise when it took off, I got fan-mail, and actually did an hour live on air as Arfur at Piccadilly. Very weird - and James did seem to be pissed when he turned up for the show. Might not have been, but looked (and sounded) like it to me.

Anyway... feedback about a "silly hour" section? I'm good enough not to edit the page without checking the lie of the land. 81.110.8.142 01:10, 16 Jul 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Quality

I think the article could do with a bit of a clean-up, it reads like a load of reminicencies from fans. GortonNorth (talk) 13:33, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
