J. R. Allen Parkway is a northern freeway bypass of Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama, in the United States. It carries portions of U.S. Route 80, Georgia State Route 22, and unsigned Alabama State Route 8. The currently under-construction Fall Line Freeway is slated to tie into J. R. Allen Parkway at its east end.
The freeway currently ends at the U.S. 280/431 exit in Phenix City, though aerial images of coordinates show it extending further west. Signs westbound approaching that exit read "Temporary end - all traffic exit next right".
[edit] Exit list
Although Georgia's Interstate Highways converted to mile-log exit numbering in 2000, the Georgia portion of J. R. Allen Parkway still uses sequential exit numbers. The Alabama portion has no exit numbers.
