Itapecerica is a municipality in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. Its latitude is 20°28"S and the longitude is 45°9"W. The population in 2007 is 20,653, the density is 19.8/km² the area is 1,042km² the elevation is 835m. Its name means slippery stone and is derived from the Tupi language.
Itapecerica was a station on the Estrada de Ferro Oeste de Minas, a narrow gauge railway.
