The Iran national futsal team represents Iran in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Futsal Commission of the Islamic Republic of Iran Football Federation. It is by far the strongest team in Asia, the nine times champion in Asian Futsal Championship.[1] As of December 2007, Iran is ranked 6 in the Futsal World Ranking, the highest ranking Asian team in the latest World Rankings.[2]
Iran has played in four FIFA Futsal World Championships. Its best result was the fourth place in 1992 in Hong Kong.[3]
