To-do list for Indian Head, Saskatchewan:

Here are some tasks you can do:

It is interesting to note that during the 'barnstorming' years of baseball, Indian Head, as well as several other prairies region settlements had a team. This team was called the Indian Head Rockets and consisted primarily of Florida Cuban players. The time frame was around the 1950's or so.

The town is also important in its contributions to the development of Marquis wheat. This variety of wheat was developed in order to grow in the climatic and environmental conditions of the Canadian west.

    Hollywood of the Prairies?

Indian Head has been a hotspot for prairie filming locations. As far as I know Minds Eye Pictures has been the biggest contributor. They shot 'Stranger in Town', 'Lyddie', 'Skipped Parts' and possibly other productions in and around the town. There would have to be verification of this, all that I have is the comparison of pictures (from Minds Eye Pictures and some other site). The manor house is scene in the photo from the shooting of 'Lyddie'.
