Alberto Nardi (Alberto Sordi) is a Roman loser bussines man, married to a rich and successful bussiness woman from Milan, Elvira Almiraghi(Franca Valeri). She treats her husband as a silly clown, so he thinks in the perfect revenge: to kill her and be rich by her heritance.
