[edit] Speedy deletion of Dragons (band)
A tag has been placed on Dragons (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. // Chris (complaints)•(contribs) 14:49, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Before recreating the article, please make sure that you can clearly assert how the band meets notability guidelines for musicians, and can indicate what reliable sources verify that claim. —C.Fred (talk) 15:08, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

- And in reply to your question about what the "problem" is with the page, I ask you this: which of the notability criteria does the band meet? I didn't see anything in the article to say they met any of them. Articles about bands that do not assert the notability of the band are subject to speedy deletion. —C.Fred (talk) 15:47, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'll quickly add that you only need to make a claim of importance to avoid speedy deletion. Notability is a seperate issue, but would need to be addressed at some point anyway. Marasmusine (talk) 16:06, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Those sound like they might cover notability; can you post the links and I can tell you for sure. Marasmusine (talk) 23:14, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
- The reviews/interviews look good. I've restored your text to User:Iconbill/Dragons (band) and added the links to "external links". I suggest using them to build up the article a bit before moving it to article space, I'd be happy to help you with this. Marasmusine (talk) 20:35, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Hi Iconbill, I've made a few minor changes to the article and added one inline citation as an example of how to use those sources. I'd suggest a "critical reception" section outlining the reviews they have received. I'll leave you to it now :> Marasmusine (talk) 22:55, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
