Talk:Icewind Dale II
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Was this the first of Bioware/Black Isle's Forgotten realm games to use the 3rd edition ruleset? Or the first D&D video game to do so? I thought it was. If that's the case it might be interesting to add that as a trivia tidbit. TotalTommyTerror 07:02, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- IMDb and GameSpot claim Icewind Dale 2 was released about September 2002. Neverwinter Nights was released June 2002, while Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor was relased a whole year prior, in September 2001, and must be the earliest 3rd edition game. Finally, Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal from June 2001 had 3rd ed. elements like new character classes, but they were implemented in the 2nd ed. used in the BG series. [edit] Spoilers?
I read through the article and the plot synopsis should probably be flagged with a spoiler tag. Thanks for spoiling the game for me! Lstanley1979 (talk) 17:59, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- There's a huge discussion (started often by newbies) about this... oh, every Monday. Spoiler tags have been generally discouraged by Wikipedia consensus (I may not necessarily agree, but that is the status atm). If you read a section called "plot"..., you have to be prepared for such information. It's not our fault you read it! Ingolfson (talk) 01:06, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
