This looks dumb, the reason being that less than 1% of Americans, probably less than 2% of Europeans, most Chinese, and even most Japanese (above elementary school age), know the place to be Iwo Jima.

You appear to be confused. This island is different from Iwo Jima, which by the way recently had an official name change to Iōtō. Bendono 07:56, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
