Human Awareness Institute

The Human Awareness Institute (HAI) was founded in 1968 by Dr. Stan Dale, DHS. Since 1968, HAI has offered workshops dealing with intimate relationships and human sexuality. According to HAI's own statistics, 75,000 people have experienced HAI.[1] Some of HAI's workshops are clothing-optional.

The Human Awareness Institute was founded in the San Francisco Bay Area in by former radio broadcaster, Stan Dale in 1968[2]. The organization was originally called "The Helen and Stan Dale Sex Workshops." [3]
The workshops continue after his death under the guidance of Janet Dale, with whom Stan Dale claimed a polygamous marriage[4], and a group of workshop facilitators trained by Dale. [5]

Dr. Stan Dale founded the Love, Intimacy & Sexuality workshops in 1968, part of a lifetime of international teachings, workshops, and citizen diplomacy missions[citation needed], including university appointments in China[6]. Recipient of seven lifetime achievement awards[citation needed] including the controversial Gandhi Peace Award, he wrote "Fantasies Can Set You Free," "My Child Myself" and contributed to numerous publications[citation needed]. Dr. Dale dedicated himself to a beliefs in "unconditional love" and "creating a world where everyone wins." Before founding HAI, Dale's radio credits included The Lone Ranger, Sergeant Preston of the Yukon, and The Shadow. He died June 8, 2007. [7]

According to its official Web site, the mission of The Human Awareness Institute is as follows:
