Hugo Ferdinand Boss (1885–1948) was the founder of clothing company Hugo Boss AG.

In the third quarter of 1933, Boss designed black uniforms for Heinrich Himmler's SS, to replace the SA brown shirts. He also designed the Hitler Youth uniforms.[1][2]
