[edit] Translation of the name to English

Hovevei is based on Hiba. Hiba means Fondship. Hovevei thus means Those who are fond of-, and is a sort of a more archaic version of Mehabevei (Which means the same thing.). Lovers of- would be Ohavei, which I believe everyone can attest was not the name of the movement. It might seem kind of odd with the square brackets, but Hebrew and English are quite different, and this one word means "Those who are fond of-", and this form is quite standard for such cases. If you don't like it, come up with a single English word which would mean exactly "Those who are fond of-". 85.65.11.77 16:59, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
