[edit] Citing sources
In response to the article being tagged for its lack of sources, I will try to cite facts and statements as best as I can. However, I have only contributed to the automotive and history sections, so that will be, by far, the easiest for me to cite. If anyone can help cite the motorcycle section, that would be wonderful. Also, I don't have too many off-line resources (nor did I use any whilst adding to the article), so all of my sources will be internet articles. Please help if you can. - I have a resource I would like to add to the Honda article. The resource offers both customers and product users alike the ability to view and add reviews of a specific company. The website does not include and advertising and is setup the same way wiki is, allowing for current users to adapt to the future system very easily. What would be your opinion on this matter? Rhalverson 21:04, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
It is A Link normally to be avoided. Links to open wikis, except those with a substantial history of stability and a substantial number of editors and it Does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article alread contains. Sorry--Hu12 21:14, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- The information provided would be unique and a non competition. Wikipedia does not offer a review section of products, infact those types of posts are considered spam. So your best advice would be to gather more users and more information on my site before posting it? Rhalverson 21:18, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- More users, more information, more time. I'd suggest a couple of years at the very least; as for users and pages, I don't know. Veinor (talk to me) 21:21, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:HondaMotorcyclesLogo.jpg
Image:HondaMotorcyclesLogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:10, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reverted due to vandalism
I reverted the article because it was vandalized. All instances of "honda" had been replaced with "toyota". Just plain stupid if you ask me. --Johnnydc 07:40, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Honda & Toyota pages are different
The Toyota page's Infobox has a "products" section that lists the brands that Toyota makes. The Honda page has a list of product types (eg: automobiles and jet engines). I added the brands to the end of the Honda page but I think that someone should spend more time and rethink the infobox. Perhaps the "products" section should list types of products and there should be a "brands" section that lists the brands? I'm not really sure. --Neil Smithline 02:01, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] COI Tag
Please see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard#Sophisticated paid editing scheme. Please do not remove the {{COI}} tag until you have thoroughly checked the article. Please leave a note at WP:COIN if you clean up the article. Thank you. - Jehochman Talk 04:35, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
- I removed it but the company history prose worries me, I'll try to find sources and rewrite it. BJTalk 00:57, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Hero Honda in India
Hero Honda is not a honda brand but an imitation. So dont include scooters and Hero Honda motorcycles in the product list. ExE (talk) 15:14, 10 March 2008 (UTC)--~PogoNoodle~ (talk) 22:53, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Leadership
It says under the leadership, sub-heading, that the current president of Honda Company Ltd., is someone called "A.J. Splitty". I Googled that name soon after, only to find out that he isn't known. Did Mr. Takeo Fatui resign or something?
[edit] Just for robots?
"However, human motions such as climbing stairs are difficult to mimic with a machine, which ASIMO has demonstrated by taking two plunges off of a staircase."
And people never have stair accidents right? Nobody on this site has ever 'taken the plunge'? --Technosphere83 (talk) 21:01, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- I don't like their part numbers. Have you ever noticed the part numbers for their bumpers and things? "SDA?" "SDI?" Are they the same part numbers for their robots?--76.248.231.90 (talk) 06:35, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
THIS HAS BEEN VANDALIZED! PLEASE REVISE! 81.86.243.148 (talk) 19:24, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
