Hog Harbour is a village in the island of Espiritu Santo in Vanuatu. It is located in northeast Santo in close proximity to Port Olry village. The village is a strong base of Presbyterian Church. In 1897 Dr Bowie, a Scottish missionary first established Presbyterian Church and mission in Hog Harbour. The name Hog Harbour derived from when explorers in the Island had anchored in the harbour, and then they saw with amazement the area was full of pigs. The harbour was subsequently named Hog Harbour. During the time of the BritishFrench Condominium, Hog Harbour was the site of the British district administration.[1]

The vast majority of people in the village are members of the Presbyterian Church.

The village has a local chief who presides over matters and disputes amongst villagers.

As regards transportation, it has improved dramatically for the better. There are many transport vehicles in the village. They provide daily services for people of Hog harbour village to Luganville. People would use this form of transport to transport their goods to Luganville, in order to sell their farming producers in town.

In light of sports, there is a soccer field located at the centre of the village. Young people often make use of the soccer field by playing soccer. Rugby is occasionally played on this soccer field. Young people however tended to prefer playing the former rather than the later.
