HMAS Mermaid (A 02) is Paluma class survey motor launches in the Royal Australian Navy. She is a twin hulled hydrographic survey ship designed to operate in shoaling and shallow reefs.[2] The ship was launched on 28 September 1989 and commissioned on 4 December 1989.[2]
