[edit] IB category
Hello,
I noticed you're linking to International Baccalaureate on your user page, so I added you to the IB wikipedians category, I hope you don't mind. Obli (Talk) 21:04, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Hello can you please reconsider your speedy delete proposal for Swinburne Student Union. I perhaps should have indicated that I had quite a lot more to write, with press articles etc. --2006BC 23:34, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
Yes I thought about creating a separate section but I think it will become unwieldy. There appear to be more stories coming about the Union's battle with the University so there will be more opportunities to expand. --2006BC 10:50, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] User template
Hi, Hestemand.
I created a user template in the main namespace by mistake. Can I keep my user template at User:Ed Poor/dec? And then just delete the page at Ed Poor:dec instead? Thanks. --Uncle Ed 12:27, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Ed, I wouldn't have a problem with it, but I don't really see what it is you're doing with it? Cheers, Hestemand 12:35, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hi
The aritcle i posted a while ago, was part of our presentation. We were testing how fast Wikipedia would delete "inappropriate" articles...and it took only 10 minutes before our page was deleted! I took screenshots of the whole process, so it was an interesting experiment. Anyway, thanks for visiting and making this experiment a success. Kramxel
[edit] Speedy deletion
I noticed that you tagged the page Applesac for speedy deletion with the reason "Advertisement; non-notable business". However, "Advertisement; non-notable business" is not currently one of our criteria for speedy deletion, so I have removed the speedy deletion tag. You can use one of our other deletion processes, proposed deletion or articles for deletion if you still want the article to be deleted. Thanks! Stifle 16:53, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
- Is db-bio ok then? Cheers, Hestemand 17:00, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] [Johannes Mannov]]
You tagged the article Johannes Mannov for speedy deletion. I wanted to let you know that I was able to look him up using Google, and I found enough information to put together a biography that passes WP:MUSIC, since he has toured internationally. Sometimes it's worthwhile to do a quick Google search first on a biography of a musician or academic that you might otherwise speedy. TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 00:05, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Albertslund Twin Towns
Hi, re: the twin towns, my edit was based on an article in my local newspaper in Barrhead today about the twinning ceremony:
| “ | A grand civic reception was held recently to celebrate the tenth anniversary of a twinning arrangement between Barrhead and Albertslund, a suburb of Copenhagen. | ” |
East Renfrewshire is the name of the district which includes Barrhead, not the name of a town itself, which I thought seemed unlikely to be twinned with a town. Thanks. Archibald99 21:18, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Danish films
Hi!! Please can you help fill in the List of Danish films I am afraid it will be up for afd. I and a few other users are trying to fill the lists by country in. If you can add the details on the films already on wikipedia in year order from Category:Danish films and any others you know of from notable directors etc that would be a great help for WP Film sand Denmark!. [edit] Flag of Lewis
A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Flag of Lewis, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Your edit: Altona, Hamburg
Hi there. In 1844 Altona was a city in the Danish Duchies of Schleswig and Holstein, and Schleswig-Holstein was part of the Kingdom of Denmark ruled by the Dansk kings. Why was Altona not a city of Denmark ? Greetings Sebastian scha. (talk) 20:12, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hello Sebastian scha. You are right in saying that Schleswig-Holstein was ruled by the Danish kings, but this does not mean that the duchies were part of Denmark(-Norway). The relationship was merely a personal union with an agreement of mutual defensive aid, and the duchies were never annexed into Denmark (attempts to bond the duchies closer to Denmark were made with the two constitutions of 1849 and 1863, which sparked the two Wars of Schleswig). Hope this cleared things out. Regards, Hestemand (talk) 06:44, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- hm, I don't know about the law of countries or states, it's what I have learned in school: "Schleswig and Holstein were part of Denmark." But there were so many wars and disputes and treaties, maybe we should leave it this way ;-) Thanks for your answer. Sebastian scha. (talk) 13:07, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
