Hertswood School is a secondary school situated in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.
It was established in 2000 by an amalgamation of five former local schools. It enrols boys and girls from the age of 11 to 16 (soon to be 18 in 2009). It also offers a sixth form for students aged 16-18 (18-20 in 2009) who wish to continue their studies into AS and A levels. The school has specialist status as an Arts College. Jan Palmer Sayer is the current Headteacher.
The most recent Ofsted inspection found the school to be "Good".[1]
The school is part of an Extended Schools consortium known as the Borehamwood/Shenley/Elstree Extended School Consortium. The consortium is made up of two secondary and fourteen primary schools.
