Henry Antonio Mateo (born October 14, 1976 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) is a shortstop who is currently a free agent. He was released by the Detroit Tigers on April 21, 2008.

Mateo married Ana Lisette Brito on December 25, 1999, and then later divorced her. On August 30, 2000, the couple had a son, Henry Mateo, Jr.[citation needed]
