[edit] Helix High School established date

Helix High School was established in 1951 although the buildings were not completed until 1952. The students of the first graduating class of 1952 continued to use the Grossmont High School campus with the classes scheduled in the afternoon while Grossmont students attended class in the morning. There was a full staff of teachers, officers, principal, and other necessary staff. This first class voted on the school colors, name Highlanders, songs, cheers, newspaper name and year book name. The class of 1952 continues to have a yearly reunion with the Grossmont class of 1952.4.248.4.252 05:38, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
