Hellenic Imperial Airways is a start-up airline based in Athens, Greece. Following the failure of establishing a new airline in Cyprus, a group of aviation industry executives have moved the project to Greece. Although the airline has yet to be granted a licence, it has already taken delivery of its first aircraft, a Boeing 747-230B, registered SX-DIE[1]. In December 2006 it was reported that the airline had started charter operations[2].
