Ciel Airlines is a start-up airline based in Athens, Greece. It plans to launch long-haul services from Athens to the USA, Far East and Australia between May 2008 and November 2008 using leased widebody aircraft[1]. Ciel designs a new travel experience and a variety of air transportation products and services based on full-service-schedule-long-haul operation model operating from Athens, Greece. Ciel aims to produce and offer the new products accompanied by a series of other complementary elements designed to create comfort and harmony for the traveller who travels in a safe and secure environment.

The airline was established by Greek businessman Panayiotis Neufelt (Chairman and Chief Executive) who owns 100% of the company.[1]. Panayiotis has a dual academic and professional background, which is both technical and creative. He is a Theatre, Film, Music & Media Producer, as well as an Aviation Management and Operation professional and Aviation Financial Advisor.
