Helen Kurup

Helen Kurup (born September 9, 1986 in North London) is a British actress best known for her role as Khush in the CBBC's I Dream. She is the sister of actress and singer Debbie Kurup.

Helen has been dancing since the age of three at her local dance school followed by the North London Dance Studio. She was continuing her training on a full-time two year performing arts course when was offered to join the cast of I Dream.
Helen has been a regular performer on stage at the Millfield Theatre appearing in six professional pantomimes and musicals including The King and I and South Pacific. She has also appeared in charity performances in London's West End at Her Majesty's Theatre Royal Drury Lane and the London Palladium. She also recently played the part of Shakira, one of the lead roles in Instant Celebrity at Freedom in Wardour Street[1]
Her other on-screen credits include Wild Room TV (Disney), a pop video for Lydia Canaan and an educational video with Jane Asher, alongside modeling work in ads and brochures for clients such as Woolworth, Dixons and Burger King. She has recently modelled for the promotional launch of agency, Red & Black.
Kurup recorded a B-Side to I Dream's "Dreaming", titled "Take Me As I Am". She also featured on the album 'Welcome to Avalon Heights', as well as the original London cast recording of Daddy Cool. She has also written and recorded her own tracks, which can only be heard on her official website, currently.
She played the part of Isis in Daddy Cool, as well as understudying for the lead, Rose. She is currently performing as part of Rose and Steel's Motown Xtravaganza, singing Motown, Soul, Rock & Roll, Jazz and Swing
